Meet Coach Bradford

James Howard Bradford, Jr. (Coach Brad) has been in the forefront of fixed index annuities since 1995. It’s no coincidence that 1995 was the year that index annuities were first introduced, putting him on the cutting edge. Coach has led more than 1600 retirement seminars with an overall rating of “excellent” or “best” by more than 90% of attendees. Through his leadership, he has helped set up more than $118,000,000 in annuities with no fees and no losses due to market downturns. Brad has received numerous awards through the years including Million Dollar Roundtable. In addition to his own clients, he has been called upon to coach dozens of fellow financial professionals about fixed index annuities.

Prior to his financial professional career, Coach had a successful coaching career at multiple high schools in north Alabama. Brad joined the football staff at the University of Alabama and later served as the running backs coach at the University of Louisville. In 1995, he found his other coaching calling, assisting retirees with retirement options using S.W.A.N. accounts. SWAN stands for Sleep Well At Night.

Coach Brad relies on his teaching background to make complex retirement options simple. His laid-back “ask any questions” kitchen table approach puts retirees at ease. To borrow one of his favorite phrases: “I am your age or older, so I know what it’s like to be on that side of the table. Experience Matters.”

On a personal note, Brad and his wife Susan live in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida between the bay and 30A. In addition to taking care of his clients, Brad is a much sought-after motivational speaker and an accomplished bluegrass musician. Coach and Susan travel extensively when not riding their walking horses, Dan and Coco. Since Susan was an Auburn cheerleader, she yells “War Eagle” while Brad does his “Roll Tide.”  They also find time to spoil their 8 grandchildren.
